Sadman Sabab
Research Fellow
Sadman Sabab is a Research Fellow at the South Asian Institute of Social Transformation (SAIST), where he applies his background in Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) to complex challenges in environmental health and geospatial science. A graduate of Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET), Sadman utilizes the algorithmic precision gained from years of competitive programming to manage and interpret high-dimensional data structures. He joined SAIST to master the rigorous methodologies of formal scientific inquiry, bridging the gap between engineering theory and applied research.
At the Foundation, Sadman leads
technical initiatives within the Environment and Climate Change units. He is
proficient in the R programming language and PostgreSQL, focusing on
implementing remote sensing methodologies to monitor environmental stressors.
His work involves processing high-resolution raster datasets and conducting
multivariate time-series analysis on global atmospheric data to track regional
air quality trends. This synthesis of imaging data and statistical modeling
allows him to transform raw environmental information into actionable
scientific insights.
Beyond his computational work,
Sadman is committed to the full lifecycle of research, including primary
fieldwork and data integrity. He has conducted household surveys to assess
physiological health metrics and is currently overseeing data-cleaning protocols
for longitudinal studies in the Dinajpur district. By integrating his technical
engineering foundation with hands-on research experience, Sadman is preparing
for a future in Visual AI, where he aims to develop the next generation of
perception technologies for autonomous navigation and "Physical AI"
systems.
