The BUP Research Society of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUPRS) successfully hosted a three-day national research workshop and the "BUP National Research Project Contest 3.0, 2024" from May 10 to 12, with 'SAIST FOUNDATION' proudly serving as the 'Research and Knowledge Partner'.
SAIST Foundation helps to bolster research capabilities of young researchers, with a strong emphasis on research processes, methodologies, tools, and academic writing. SAIST's dedication to nurturing young researchers is evident through its support and expertise.
The contest attracted an impressive 88 research papers from 31 universities, covering a diverse range of topics including media censorship, disaster management, climate change, and labor market dynamics. In a significant move to further support young researchers, SAIST Foundation announced that it will provide a six-month research fellowship to the best research projects. These fellows will receive comprehensive training in Academic Writing, Research Methods, and Statistical Techniques, ensuring they are well-prepared to accomplish their research project.
The closing ceremony, graced by BUP Vice Chancellor Major General Md Mahbub-ul Alam, and Executive Director of SAIST Foundation Dr. U S Rokeya Akhter, highlighted the significant impact of the Foundation's contribution. Dr. Akhter emphasized the importance of building a strong research foundation among young scholars to address critical issues facing Bangladesh and the global community.
